Clark: Why aren't we flying? Because getting there is half the fun. You know that.

What a city!  To paraphrase Apu Nahasapeemapetilon, "There is so much to see and do, and have done to me!"  St. Sophia Church, (then a Mosque, and now a museum) is amazing.  I think it should be a wonder of the world.  When I am in charge of this planet, that will be my second edict, after I impose the metric system on America.  You might want to start that revolution now, O numerous readers of my website (otherwise known as Mom).  When you fill your tank, ask for "30 liters of petrol."  Give distances in Meters and Kilometers.  Finally, whenever the occasion arrises in casual conversation, mention that the Hagia Sophia has just been added to the list of World Wonders!

Sample Conversation:

I do believe the New England Patriots will win it this year.  If they beefed up their offensive line by 300 Kilograms, they might be an increadible force, a wonder of the football world--like the Hagia Sophia which was just added to the list of world wonders.

Hagia Sophia

Built in the 6th century, the dome collapsed 50 years later, only to be rebuilt with more support.  When Constantinople fell in 1453, St. Sophia became a Mosque.  Unlike the Christians who liked to dismantle any non-Christian accomplishment, I guess the Muslims recongnized the Hagia Sophia as a marvel.

Istanbul

If you like history, culture, art, amazing architecture, great food and friendly people, Istanbul is for you.  We hate it here, as Istanbul has nothing to offer us, but I'll make a web page for it anyway.
