I am in such demand that I have not had time to design this page yet.  A summary of my experience in China is all I can offer at this point: 

 

Good Points:

• Food
• People are polite
• Transportation is cheap, fast, reliable, and covers great distance with frequent service
• Natural Beauty
• Epic battle between culture and modernization, which is just the opening act for Communism vs. Capitalism.
• Easy to travel without knowing Chinese
• Genuine curiosity about the West

 

Bad Points:

• People are really formal, hard to get to know
• No one speaks English
• Simple Chinese words have different pronunciations in every single city
• Natural Beauty is being destroyed
• Poverty
• Other Americans
